The Mattoni České Budějovice Halfmarathon starts on the second largest square in the Czech Republic. Přemysl Otakar II Square is lined with beautiful houses, including the town hall – so you can make your wait in the start corridor more pleasant with local architecture. Legend has it that there is a wandering stone with a cross in the square and whoever crosses it will go astray. But thanks to the signage, that can’t happen to you on the race!
