Fastest European at the Munchen Marathon in 2023. Very fast growing long-distance athlete. Face of Euroheroes.

2018 European Marathon Championships Bronze Medalist. Euroheroes winner 2019. European course record holder in Karlovy Vary.

Chakib Lachgar ESP 1:01:45 - Azpeitia 2023

Spanish athlete who started running at a good level very late, in 2023, when he was over 30 years old. He did 1:01:45 in Half and 2:11:11 in his second Marathon at Sevilla. After he did 28:20 in 10K, he won the gold medal at the World 50K Championships in India in 2023. He experimented in Road Races and Long-Distance events from 10K to 50 K.

Hélio Gomes 1:02:07 - Valencia 2023

Athlete from Portugal who started in the 1500 and 3000 track. Several times National Champion and 4th place at the European Championships in Helsinki 2012. He started running Road Races a couple of years ago. In 2023 he did his PB in Half with 1:02:07 and this year he did his PB in Marathon, 2:11:08 at Sevilla becoming one of the best Portuguese Marathons of the moment.

Jonathan Mellor GBR 1:01:59 - Riga 2023

Jonathan is a British long-distance runner. He finished in the top 8 Marathon Commonwealth games in 2022. He was 6. at 3,000m National Champion 2012. 2:09:09 PB in Marathon 2024 in Sevilla. 2023 World Championships attendee. He finished 34 with his latest PB 1:01:59. He competed in the 3000-meter event at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships. He first established himself in the marathon scene with 10th place at the 2017 Berlin Marathon, where he ran 2:12:57. He has a marathon personal best of 2:09:09 and was the British Marathon Champion in 2020.

2020 Italian Half Marathon Champion. Third in České Budějovice. Potential attacker of the first three within EuroHeroes series.

Multiple Czech Champion in 10.000m, half marathon, and marathon distance.

Stefan Iulius Gavril ROM 1:04:17 - Ústí nad Labem 2022

Romanian national record holder at 5 km. Tremendous half-marathon progress PB by almost 3 minutes from Ústí nad Labem 2022.

Dmitrijs Serjogins LAT 1:04:43 - Barcelona 2021

Dmitrijs was the former Latvian national record holder for 5 km, and 10 km and he still holds the National half marathon record.

Lahsene Bouchikhi BEL 1:04:50 - Sevilla 2022

Lahsene ran 2:08:36 in the Valencia marathon last year. He just missed the Olympic Belgium team for Paris and is looking forward to returning for the EuroHeroes series.

5th in overall Euroheroes Challenge in 2023. She was second in the České Budějovice Half Marathon 2023. National Champion in Half Marathon 2021 and National Champion in Marathon 2022. This year in the Sevilla Half Marathon she has decreased her PB by over 2 minutes. 

Lilia Fisikovici MLD 1:10:45 - Ústí nad Labem 2018

Participant of two Olympic Games in Rio and Tokyo. Seven-time record holder of the Moldova.

Nóra Szabó HUN 1:10:59 - Copenhagen 2022

Second in Karlovy Vary Half Marathon 2024. She started running at age 23 to lose weight, since then she has been the Hungarian National Record Holder (2:28:25) in the marathon. Placed 17th in the European Championship in 2022, and 24th in the World CHs in 2023. 2-time Hungarian 10.000m champion, 2021 and 2023 and national champion in Half Marathon (2022).

 

Mhairi Maclennan GBR 1:11:18 - Copenhagen 2023

Mhairi ran 2:29:15 in her marathon debut in London last month and has a 1:11:08 half marathon PB from the Copenhagen Half Marathon.

Maryna Nemchenko UKR 1:11:13 - Warszawa 2024

Ukrainian Marathon Champion 2021. Multiple prize-winner of Ukrainian Championships, participant of European Championships. Winner of České Budějovice Half Marathon 2024, and the new European Race record holder in Mattoni České Budějovice Half Marathon.

Iwona Bernardelli POL 1:12:41 - Zbaszyn 2012

In 2015, Bernardelli won the gold medal in the marathon at the World Military Games in Mungyeong. She won the Biegnij Warszawo (10 km) running event five times (2010-2013 and 2016). Twice (2012 and 2013) she won gold medals (individually and as a team) at the European Military Championships in Paris (20 km). She won many individual and team medals at the Military World Marathon Championships (2014, 2017, 2022). She remains the current record holder at this distance (2:28:33). At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she took 21st place in the marathon distance with a time of 2:31:41.

Ruth van der Meijden NED 1:13:01 - Salzburg 2016

Netherlands Long distance runner. She is a former duathlete with three national titles and a European title in this discipline. After 2012, she focused entirely on athletics and specialized in middle, long-distance, and cross-country running. In 2011, she won her first national running title in the 10,000 m. She was the best female Dutch runner in the Amsterdam Marathon, with 2:29.55 (16th overall).
