The Birell 10K Race will traditionally have a very strong line-up! Its main star is undoubtedly the world record holder Rhonex Kipruto from Kenya. Twenty-one of his compatriots and six pro-athletes from Ethiopia will also take part in this race. However, the 25th anniversary Birell Pargue Grand Prix will also welcome many European pro-athletes who will try to attack at least the national records. Germany´s Samuel Fitwi Sibhatu is among the big names starting from the Náměstí Republiky this Saturday at 7:30 pm as well. He ran the decathlon in 28:00 in Berlin last year. One of his competitors is the Portuguese Samuel Vila Barata, with a personal best of 28:12, run in Valencia this year, while the Belgian Lahsene Bouchikh (28:24) will also try to reach the podium. Among the Czech runners, Jakub Zemaník (29:30), Jiří Homoláč (29:37) and Eva Vrabcová Nývltová (33:01) are the big "hopes". But the race is not only for elite athletes. All runners can also be part of this special event so everyone has the opportunity to participate in the Birell 10K Race. adidas Women's race 5 km will start at 6 pm and is perhaps more of an experience than a race.
