Dear runners,

Runway Run Prague is a unique event held only this year. We are more than happy to offer you such an opportunity. You will run on the runway of an international airport, which is operating many flights on the other runway. Because of this, there will be extra security procedures. We would like to thank you in advance, for following all the instructions.

This time, you have to pick up your start number in person. Every runner (kids included) will receive a wristband to wear all around the airport venue. Airport security personnel will only allow you to enter the security check and the race if you will have both the start number and the wristband with the matching numbers. You must wear the wristband and the start number during the whole event. We cannot allow pick-ups on behalf of others to make the race happen. Thank you for understanding. You can pick up your race bib and wristband in person (bring your ID with photo and name) in the Running Mall on Friday (10:00 - 19:00), or in the departure hall of Terminal 2 on Saturday (14:00 - 19:00) or Sunday (from 5:30). The pick-up at check-in counters closes 2 hours before the start of your race.

Remember how it is when you go to the boarding gate and to the airplane to fly out? It will be very similar. Two hours before the start, you will pass the security x-ray control. Start numbers and wristbands are mandatory. Take only necessary things with you.. The same rules apply also for liquids, dangerous objects, etc. Leave your belongings at home or in the car. You can park at the airport for a special fee if you book online in advance. After the security check, you continue to the gate D6 and directly down the stairs to an airport bus which will take you to the start. Arrive on time, so you won’t let your start fly away. We will prepare Mattoni water and a short programme before the start, and toilets will be available as well. You can watch the planes taking off, explore the size of the runway and afterwards you will run on it.

The course is placed on the runway, from which you might have departed to your holiday destination before. Stay in the designated area. You will get a special medal and Mattoni water after you finish the race. Buses will transport you back to the terminal on Saturday, and to the Runway Park on Sunday. You can catch public transport taking you back to the parking or to the city. Every runner has free entrance to the Runway Park and free public transport for the day of their race (Saturday 9:00 - 23:00, Sunday 5:00 - 20:00). You just need to show your race bib and wristband.
